"I play a Kazuo Yairi CE-62 I bought in Ochanomizu, Tokyo while living in Japan. It's a Herman Houser I style classical. Two inch neck width, cutaway, carved back." I had another Kazuo thinline but I sacrificed it to the guitar gods trying to quiet it down so I could play it indoors at any hour. I've destroyed a few guitars, filling them with wood, hacking them open, trying to change their size or shape."

"I began playing guitar on a classical acoustic from Fed Mart which my dad gave me. It looked like a beater guitar but had this amazing sound. I later sacrificed it, it was the first and that was tragic, I should have learned my lesson then. After that guitar I bought a cheap Japanese import electric, Seville - a Les Paul copy, Fender Stratocaster, Rickenbacker, Steve Klien which I still have, and an Ibanez classical "beach guitar" which I still have. But the Kazuo Yairi is my favorite. No other guitars seem to come close, regardless of price."

"I'm a Berklee and SDSU alumnus...went through the Jazz program at SDSU and learned a lot. I've had some great teachers; Thom Beebe, Bob Evans, Marc Bacilla, and Rick Helzer."
